    RN Position Job Notes:

    Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

    Job Details:


    • Work 8-hour shifts with flexible scheduling

    • On-call requirement of 8 days per month

    • Required certifications: ACLS and BLS

    • Dress code requirement: Navy scrubs

    • Local candidates not accepted

    • Demonstrate critical thinking skills and scientific judgment in operating room patient care

    • Work as part of surgical team with surgeons, anesthesiologists, ORTs and other personnel

    • Ensure supplies and timeliness of surgical cases

    • Communicate with patient families during procedures

    • Update physician preference cards and maintain accurate documentation

    • Scrub and assist physicians during surgical procedures

    • Supervise personnel delivering patient care in operating room environment

    • Follow State Nurse Practice Act, AORN standards, regulatory requirements, and hospital policies

    • Anticipate and plan for comprehensive patient care throughout surgical procedures

    This medical center operates a comprehensive surgical department with multiple operating rooms providing a wide range of surgical services. The facility maintains high standards for patient care and follows strict regulatory guidelines including AORN standards and state nursing practice requirements. The operating room department works collaboratively with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical technicians to deliver quality surgical care to the community.
