- Prepare and administer chemotherapy, targeted therapies, and supportive medications following strict safety protocols.
- Monitor patients pre- and post-treatment, carefully tracking vital signs, potential side effects, and overall comfort.
- Collaborate with oncologists and fellow technicians to develop and update personalized treatment plans, ensuring the highest standard of care.
- Provide compassionate client communication, including education about treatment options, home care, and ongoing symptom management.
- Assist with diagnostic procedures such as blood draws, imaging (radiographs, CT, MRI), and sample collection for cytology or histopathology.
- Support the emotional well-being of clients and team members, recognizing the sensitivity and challenges involved in oncology cases.

- 1+ years in a specialty, oncology, or high-volume veterinary setting
- Holds a current CVT/LVT/RVT (or educational equivalency)
- A strong understanding of chemotherapy safety protocols, including handling and administration
- Excellent communication skills, particularly in educating and supporting clients during stressful or emotional situations
- Proficiency in venipuncture, IV catheter placement, sample collection, and anesthesia/monitoring
- Familiarity with advanced diagnostic tools (radiographs, CT, MRI) and laboratory procedures
- Empathy, resilience, and a team-focused attitude, recognizing the sensitive nature of oncology cases
- Embraces Fear Free handling to ensure safe, stress-free interactions for patients, clients, and the team
- A commitment to lifelong learning, staying up to date on new treatments and best practices in veterinary oncology
