- Preparing and editing legal documents, such as contracts, resolutions, and board minutes
- Creating closing binders, editing and converting PDF documents, referencing and tracking changes
- Managing client files, including calendaring deadlines associated with files and ensuring all documentation is accurate and up-to-date
- Scheduling meetings and travel arrangements
- Attorney timekeeping and preparing expense reports
- Liaise with conflicts department to run conflict of interest checks
- Communicating effectively with clients, attorneys, and other staff members
- Staying abreast of changes in corporate law and relevant regulations
- Prepares standard correspondence and other documents as needed.
- Scans, profiles and emails client documentation to team members as directed.
- Assisting with requesting check and submitting expense reimbursement, processing billable time, proof time entries, and edit and review pre-bills
- Handles incoming mail and makes arrangements for courier services when needed.
- 4+ years of experience as a corporate legal assistant or paralegal, experience with commercial real estate a plus
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), EDGAR to file and retrieving documents with U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to accuracy
