    JOB OBJECTIVE(S):
    To assure the smooth and efficient operation of the Career Technical Education Department, so that the office's maximum positive impact on the education of the Career Technical Education students can be realized.

    QUALIFICATIONS:
    1. High school diploma or equivalent
    2. Word processing skills (Word and Excel)
    3. High level of computation skills
    4. Basic understanding of bookkeeping, accounting, and banking procedures
    5. Ability or organize and file
    6. Ability to follow directions, perform detailed clerical tasks and organize daily work schedule
    7. Good telephone communication and office reception skills
    8. Ability to operate standard office equipment
    9. Must enjoy doing detailed work with frequent interruptions
    10. Ability to operate standard office equipment
    11. Ability to work with building staff and public
    12. Good human relations skills
    13. Ability and willingness to be flexible
    14. Ability to use the Computer System including text management.
    15. The capacity to accept constructive criticism and grow in job performance through the district evaluation process
    DUTIES/PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
    1. Maintain the tracking system of career technical education students
    2. Prepare and type state reports-enter into EMIS including concentrators, post-program follow-up, and other program codes as assigned
    3. Answer the office telephone-taking messages for the Career Technical Education Director and staff and making outgoing calls
    4. Type letters and reports for the Career Technical Education Director and instructors
    5. Maintain bookkeeping, record and do requisitioning
    6. Type requisitions for monthly travel reimbursement for Career Technical Education Programs
    7. Type meeting agendas, letters, minutes, reports, etc., as requested
    8. Process maintenance requisitions for the Career Technical Education Programs
    9. Process correspondence, reports, notices, and recommendations
    10. Maintain a regular filing system and process incoming mail as instructed
    11. Order and maintain supplies and equipment as needed
    12. Maintain a schedule of appointments and make arrangements for conferences and interviews
    13. Ability and/or willingness to learn to use the Blackboard Computer System for parent/family updates
    14. Welcome visitors and arrange for their comfort, and screen unexpected callers
    15. Abide by the Mansfield City Board of Education policies and regulations
    16. Other duties as assigned by the Career Technical Education Director or their designee..
