    LRS Federal is currently hiring an experienced Construction Manager to support our portfolio of work with the US Department of Veterans Affairs, US Department of Agriculture, and the General Services Administration.

    This position will directly support the US General Services Administration at the James R. Browning U.S. Courthouse in San Francisco, CA.


    POSITION DESCRIPTION

    Duties of this role include:


    During the post-award Design and Construction Documents phases, the Construction Manager shall perform services relating to design review, coordination, and cost evaluation services.

    The Construction Manager shall provide value management (VM) services.

    The Construction Manager shall perform the Construction and Closeout phase services to ensure that the Design-Build design intent is refined and clarified as necessary during construction, realized in the completed facility, and conveyed successfully into the facility management, operation, and maintenance of the completed building.

    Work in collaboration with the entire Project Delivery Team.
    Achieve the best quality, and value while controlling schedule and budget.

    The Construction Manager shall take all reasonable measures to anticipate problems and delays to minimize or eliminate their adverse impact to the project schedule, budget, and approved design.

    Take the initiative and act to promptly resolve conflicts, mitigate circumstances that could lead to claims, and keep GSA advised of any potential disputes and project delays.

    Exercise due diligence to ensure that the project meets applicable requirements, codes, regulations, standards, and the project construction documents.

    Understand and fully comply with the principles of Federal contracting, including contract administration in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), the General Services Administration Acquisition Manual (GSAM), and Public Buildings Services acquisition policy.

    Establish and maintain communication and professional relationships with GSA, occupant agency representatives, and all Project Delivery Team members throughout all project stages.


    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
    In order to be successful in this role, it is expected that the successful candidate will hold the following professional qualifications:

    Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
    Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in facility management and construction.

    Construction management experience required to be able to review design drawings, design specifications, and cost estimates independently and as part of a team.

    Proficiency in managing construction projects using both Design-Bid-Build and Design-Build project delivery methods.
    Experience working with Federal Government facility projects.

    Ability to quickly understand and master the requirements of the local state and federal jurisdictions and the requirements of each considering the Requirements of the Project.

    Possess Communication, Language, and Software Skills with the ability to utilize a variety of software programs to monitor, update, and produce work products by applying knowledge of computer literacy.

    Salary level is dependent on skill set and experience level. The employment package includes health insurance, paid time off, and other incentives.
