PRINCIPAL ENGINEER
LONG TERM CONTRACT

HYBRID (2-3 DAYS/WEEK)

Need Consultants who actually have experience doing an implementation of OPA (Open Policy Agent) on Microservices or similar architecture

Must Haves:

• Bachelor's degree in IT related field (needed to convert to full time)
• Implementation experience with Open Policy Agent (OPA) on at least one of the following: Data APIs, Microservices, or Micro-frontend
• Experience with Rego policy language and understanding the code organization and best practices for integrations of external data sources
• Policy management experience understanding best practices for code reuse, and developing and maintaining a library of policies
• Understanding of the policy lifecycle - storage, versioning, deployment, deprecation

Preferred Qualifications:

• Fine-grained authorization using products such as PlainID, Okta, Sytra
• Strong Identity and Security background using authN/Z
• Software Development background using Java or Python with strong API development and design experience

Insight Global is seeking a Principal Engineer to sit in Cleveland, OH for one our largest chemical manufacturing clients. Our client is moving architectures from Monolithic to Microservices and seeking an Engineer to help them with the implementation of OPA (Open Policy Agent) on Microservices. The goal is to develop a domain API to meet the needs of all applications so that any team within the organization can access the data they are seeking. They are seeking to turn their data into one individual asset in order to access quicker. This Principal Engineer will bridge the gap between Software Developers and Leadership.
