    Calling All Passionate Special Education Teachers

    We are seeking qualified and enthusiastic Special Education teachers to join our summer school program in Berwyn, IL. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a positive impact on students with diverse learning needs in a fun and supportive environment.

    Positions Available (x7):

    • Pre-Kindergarten (x4)
    • Kindergarten (x1)
    • Life Skills (Various Ages) (x2)

    Program Dates:

    • Orientation Day: [Date] (2 hours)
    • Summer School Program: June 10th - July 3rd (17 days)
    • Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:40 AM - 12:10 PM (One week with a slightly shorter schedule of 14 hours)
    • Total Hours: 17.5 hours/week (except for one week with 14 hours)

    About the Role:

    • Develop and deliver engaging and effective lesson plans aligned with students' Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
    • Utilize evidence-based instructional strategies to meet the diverse learning needs of students with disabilities.
    • Provide ongoing assessments and progress monitoring to measure student growth.
    • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that fosters student success.
    • Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and other professionals to ensure a comprehensive educational program for students.
    • Maintain accurate and detailed student records.

    Qualifications:

    • Valid Illinois Teaching Certification in Special Education (any category).
    • Experience working with students with disabilities in a Pre-Kindergarten, Kindergarten, or Life Skills setting (preferred).
    • Strong understanding of differentiated instruction and effective teaching methodologies for students with special needs.
    • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
    • Positive and energetic demeanor with a passion for helping students succeed.
