    ​Job OverviewTE Connectivity's Product Management Teams manage all aspects of a product, from driving new product development to manufacturing to marketing.

    They are responsible for overall product strategy, business leadership and capacity plans in order to meet sales and profit targets.

    As part of the Data and Devices (DND) business unit, this team is a growth driver of TE with two major focus areas:
    Cloud and IoT/Edge.

    In Cloud we work directly together with all major Cloud providers and Enterprise customers to deliver next-generation data and power solutions to enable fast-growing computing architectures that power training and inference workloads for the AI revolution.

    In IoT/Edge we serve Antenna OEMs and the broader market to build platforms to serve all power, data and RF connectivity of our end markets with a focus on the fast-growing Internet of Things (IoT) market.

    Global Product Manager for Optical Connectivity is responsibility for the product solutions including both active and passive connectivity in both Cloud and Iot/Edge Markets.

    Demonstrated optics thought leadership, both internally and externally, as the Cloud industry continues its relentless evolution from traditional copper to the fiber connectivity solutions is key to long-term success of the role.

    Short DescriptionMarket Sensing & Strategy DevelopmentArticulate market trends, demand drivers, customer needs, industry trends, and competitive landscapeDevelop product roadmaps that aligns with business strategy and solves high-value customer problemsWork with R&D and operations in the development of new products and manage the product lifecycle Develop Business PlansDefine resource requirements necessary to execute the product roadmapWork cross functionally to define sales, technology and operations strategies and goals, in line with financial goals.

    Build consensus on specific tasks. Establish pricing policy Develop the annual operating plan (Sales and gross or standard margin)


    Execution – New Product Development and LaunchBe the opportunity champion for PAC projectsPlans product launches, including the development of marketing and sales plansProvide demand forecast inputs to S&OPAttend customer meetings in support of winning new businessExercise thought leadershipProvide inputs to Marcom for the development of collateral, including e-commerceExecution – Post Launch Product ManagementManage the P&L (sales and gross or standard margin) for the assigned portfolioDeliver sustained profitable growthEnable sales to promote product line via training and the development of collateral materials that help articulate the value propositionManage special price requestsTrack progress to the business plan and facilitate resolution to gapsBe the champion for resolution of product issues (e.g., quality, delivery, etc.)



    What your background should look like:

    COMPENSATION

    • Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $146,240 – $219,360 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
    • Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
    • Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + BenefitsBENEFITS
