    Description

    About The Position

    Our client, a behavioral health company, is looking for a RN manager in Westfield, Pennsylvania.

    • Collaborates with interdisciplinary treatment teams and other departments to ensure clients' needs are met.
    • Monitors nursing practices to assure quality client care.
    • Communicates expectations of client care to staff.
    • Manages staff activities, coordinating safe and appropriate care between departments and disciplines.
    • Monitors time schedules to determine adequate staff and skill levels.
    • Affirms presence of adequate staff on all shifts according to staffing guidelines.
    • Evaluates staff performance and initiates recommendations for hiring, promotion, suspension, and termination.
    • Performs administrative functions such as planning and monitoring budgets.
    • Monitors Performance Improvement initiatives and reports information to the Nursing Executive.
    • Anticipates changes in census and acuity and allocates nursing resources accordingly.
    • Provides consultations and expertise in care delivery.
    • Serves as a clinical and service resource to staff.
    • Models customer service expectations and prioritizes client safety.
    • Identifies educational needs of staff and develops training programs.
    • Assists with policy development and implementation.
    • Facilitates groups and prepares reports to inform management.
    • Audits medication rooms to maintain compliance with regulatory requirements.
    • The Nurse Manager directs the effective operations of nursing in delivering behavioral health care.

    Responsibilities

    • RN Manager: Assures the delivery of quality care in a safe and cost-effective manner.

    Requirements

    • Active PA license or compact
    • 4 years of nursing experience, including 2+ years in behavioral health
    • Experience working with behavioral treatment services and providing mandatory training
