    We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Accounting Manager to join our team and play a pivotal role in driving the growth and success of our brand.


    Position Overview:


    As the Small Cheval Accounting Manager, you will be a key leader on the team, responsible for overseeing and managing the month-end close along with other essential accounting functions including but not limited to accounts payable, receivables, financial reporting, various tax filings, and audits.

    We are looking for a hands-on individual who is self-sufficient, detail-oriented, an excellent communicator and will support the growth of Small Cheval's accounting department along with supporting the opening of new locations.


    Key Responsibilities:


    Responsible for 10 day month end closingReview month-end statements for select groups of restaurantsAudit general ledger accounts for errors and overspending and support city and state restaurant auditsOversee weekly financial reports for each Small Cheval locationSet up accounting systems for assigned new restaurant openings and complete monthly financials for new restaurantsManage period end close process to ensure restaurant-level financials are accurate and completeAssists the Controller and Director of Accounting with period-end reporting for executive leadersEnsure proper sales tax and use tax filings on all restaurant locationsEnsure all 1099 year-end forms are filed timely and accuratelyLead quarterly budget updates and assist with budget process to share with Small Cheval Director team and Executive teamManage the growing accounting teamQualifications:Bachelors degree in Finance or AccountingMinimum of 3-5 years in hospitality accounting management experienceCPA certification is preferred but not requiredAn understanding of GAAPExcellent oral and written communication skillsIntermediate to Advanced skills in Microsoft ExcelExperience with Restaurant 365 is preferredNote: This job description is intended to provide a general overview of the job and does not represent a comprehensive list of all responsibilities or qualifications required for the role.
