Job summary
The maintenance assistant is responsible for performing general maintenance and repair tasks including regular inspections of buildings and equipment. They also perform routine maintenance to prevent future problems and maintain detailed records of work performed.Responsibilities
- Fix or replace faulty electrical switches outlets circuit breakers plumbing fixtures and other building components.
- Perform minor repairs and maintenance on heating ventilation and air conditioning systems handle minor plumbing issues such as leaks clogs fixture replacements address minor electrical repairs like replacing light bulbs or fuses perform basic carpentry work like repairing doors windows furniture touch-up painting minor repairs to building surfaces clean buildings grounds dusting mopping trash removal maintain inventory of supplies equipment adhere to all safety regulations procedures communicate with supervisors colleagues clients regarding needs progress diagnose problems determine best way correct them provide technical skills problem-solving physical stamina attention detail communication time management skills.
