- Reconcile the member/donor system/records to the general ledger
- Prepare journal entries as assigned
- Process sales tax filings
- Maintain records for updating the fixed asset accounting system, including monthly journal entries and reconciliation to the general ledger
- Maintain, update, reconcile all financial records, and provide timely reporting to the Outreach Ministries department
- Enter payroll entries and retirement benefit entries as needed
- Assist with online giving system questions and inquiries from members and other donors
- Assist with annual giving statements, inquiries, and problem resolution
- Assist the income processing speclialist with weekly collecting and processing of donations
- Manage and respond to calls and emails as needed.
- Assist the department in coordinating various tasks and procedures.
- Communicate regularly with supervisor about departmental issues.
- Assist supervisor with special projects, events, and diverse tasks in support of the department.
- Attend department meetings, regular all-staff meetings and other meetings as required.
- Utilize a thorough understanding of New Life Church employee policies and procedures.
- Demonstrate ongoing financial support for ministries of New Life Church.
- Work in close association with the entire staff to build and maintain a strong team environment.
- Cooperate with leadership by performing any other duties when asked to do so.
- Ability to read and carry out written and oral instructions.
- Working knowledge and experience using Microsoft office Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.
- Working knowledge and experience with accounting software applications Sage Intacct or another known industry accounting package.
- Working knowledge and experience with donor system database software applications or aptitude to learn.
- Possess an aptitude for accounting principles and has good analytical skills with ability to read and interpret spreadsheets.
- Strong problem-solving skills, detail oriented and self-motivated. Able to complete assignments with little guidance.
- Proficient with general office equipment such as scanners, copiers, calculators, etc.
- Possess a servant's heart.
- Pleasant individual with good people skills, personable and helpful attitude, and confident in working with people.
- Presents her/himself in a professional manner at all times.
- Ability to verbally communicate effectively and tactfully at all levels.
- Ability to work well under pressure.

- Regularly required to sit and occasionally required to stand and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

- Close visual acuity to is necessary to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.
