    Hiring experienced Banquet Captains who will be responsible for supervising the Banquet Servers in a positive manner.

    Job Functions

    • Meet and greet clients.
    • Oversee in house catered functions.
    • Responsible for making the function space visually appealing and presenting the menu offering for the event.
    • Responsible for the overall sanitation and cleanliness of the work areas, banquet rooms and storage areas.
    • Responsible for the proper usage and good working order of all equipment, furniture and fixtures in the Banquet and Catering Section in the shift assigned.
    • Provide excellent customer service and ensure customer needs are met.
    • Supervise events and team members throughout service.
    • Guide the Banquet Servers in set up of tables and place settings.
    • Resolve staff and customer concerns quickly and efficiently.
    • Responsible for ensuring sufficient operating guest supplies, beverage supplies and operating equipment for functions assigned.
    • Other duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    • Supervisory experience preferred.
    • High school or equivalent required; college degree preferred.
    • Good computer skills including Word and Excel.
    • 2+ years of convention hotel experience or related field preferred.
    • Excellent interpersonal and guest service skills.
    • Have the ability to make connections with people, motivating and inspiring them to achieve results.
    • Demonstrate strong initiative and self-direction.
    • Ability to work at a fast pace and results oriented.
    • Ability to understand, quickly react and motivate others to adapt to the changing organization.
