    SUMMARY OF A FORKLIFT OPERATIOR - SANITATION TECHNICIAN:
    The Sanitation Technician will clean and sanitize all production areas under the supervision of the Sanitation Supervisor and Quality Assurance Manager.

    RESPONSIBILITIES OF A FORKLIFT OPERATIOR - SANITATION TECHNICIAN

    • Follow all Personal Safety and Food Safety precautions: Wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), Lockout/Tagout, GMPs, follow Plant Color Code for Buckets, Brushes, etc.
    • Prepare and mix chemicals according to SSOP directions and test for accuracy using titration method.
    • Reviews sanitation logbook for any communications related to the nightly cleaning of equipment and passing / non-passing of ATP swabs.
    • Communicates with Sanitation Supervisor or Sanitation Lead for any issues.
    • Safely operate CIP and COP cleaning equipment.
    • Dismantle, protect as needed, and clean packaging and processing lines and equipment according to SSOP and master sanitation schedule.
    • Complete SSOP documentation upon completion of tasks.
    • Perform sanitation inspection on processing lines/equipment.
    • Reassemble and test run equipment after cleaning in preparation for the next shifts production.
    • Report sanitation or maintenance issues to appropriate authority.
    • Report to management any conditions or practices that may adversely affect food safety, food quality or personnel safety.
    • Adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
    • Ensure work is completed correctly and in a timely manner.
    • Work in a safe manner and abide by all company policies.
    • Always be professional and respectful.
    • Performs other related duties as assigned.

    REQUIREMENTS OF A FORKLIFT OPERATIOR - SANITATION TECHNICIAN:
    • Must be detail oriented and possess analytical skills.
    • Must have the ability to read, write, and understand policies and guidelines, specifications, and safety standards.
    • Must be able to work independently.
    • Basic math skills
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Bilingual English/Spanish strongly desired.
    • Sitting Forklift experience required, prefer to have both sitting and standing forklift experience.

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE OF A FORKLIFT OPERATIOR - SANITATION TECHNICIAN:
    • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.
    • At least 1 year of relevant experience preferred. Experience with GFSI (SQF), FSMA, HACCP, and GMP's related to food safety desired or ability to complete training.
    • Food manufacturing experience desired.
    • Experience with GFSI, FSMA, HACCP, and GMP's related to food safety desired.
    • Manufacturing experience desired.

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS OF A FORKLIFT OPERATIOR - SANITATION TECHNICIAN:
    • Prolonged periods of standing.
    • Must be able to lift 50 pounds at times.
    • Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization's facilities.
