    What is the Investment Technology Solutions group responsible for?

    The Investment Technology Solutions group plays an integral role in delivering strategic investment data solutions to the business. The team serves as the bridge between technology and investment management teams by providing robust data and analytic solutions. We strive to promote user adoption of investment data assets, support the investment data discovery journey, and optimize data integration to drive data-driven insights.

    What is the Senior Investment Data Analyst responsible for?

    The Senior Investment Data Analyst plays a crucial role in driving an integrated investment data strategy via engaging cross-functionally with data engineers to support key stakeholders across the Firm from investment research to portfolio management, investment compliance, risk, and reporting. Key initiatives include development of proprietary investment models and standardization of analytics, and delivery of scalable solutions that flexibility adapt across investment teams.

    What are the ongoing responsibilities of a Senior Investment Data Analyst?

  • Partner with technology and the business in managing the entire data lifecycle from vendor evaluation, data acquisition and cataloguing, to analytic and solution development.
  • Perform rigorous analysis of complex and large investment data sets to define success criteria, and drive successful execution of scalable and holistic technology solutions that can flexibly scale across investment strategies. Simplify complex quantitative models and synthesize qualitative business requirements to define functional and technical requirements under the Agile/Scrum framework.
  • Leverage exceptional analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities to support the data discovery journey, suitability assessments, and advise on use of data in the investment research context.
  • Unify, harmonize, and integrate investment data, including ESG, financial, macroeconomic, instrument, entity, benchmark, market, and portfolio metrics for analytic workflows. provide consistent, timely, accurate, and user-friendly data.
  • Handle data-intensive initiatives and analyze complex data challenges, including vendor relationship management to remediate data questions in a timely manner. Promote collaboration to identify data-driven opportunities.
  • What ideal qualifications, skills and experience would help someone to be successful?

  • Bachelor's Degree; an advanced Master's degree, CFA, or Computer Science Degree is a plus
  • MINIMUM of 7 years experience within the asset management industry in a data analyst role with a strong understanding of investment functions from fundamental research, investment compliance, risk management, and regulatory reporting.
  • Strong global knowledge of investment strategies, asset classes, financial instruments, and investment vehicles, plus an understanding of investment management operations and investment workflows across asset types.
  • Significant knowledge of investment data including financial, ESG, market, benchmark, and macroeconomic data, as well as holdings data and portfolio analytics; experience with investment data vendors (MSCI, Bloomberg, S&P, Sustainalytics, etc).
  • Knowledge of the data lifecycle, data governance, data quality, and data management best practices.
  • Proven track record of conducting quantitative and qualitative analyses.
  • Familiarity with sustainable investment and regulations such as the Sustainable Finance Disclosure Regulation and EU Taxonomy Regulation is a plus.
  • What technology skill sets are critical to the success of this role?

  • Advanced technical proficiency in MS Office and SQL ESSENTIAL
  • Familiarity with programming languages (Python, R, Snowflake, Databricks) and visualization tools (PowerBI) are a strong plus
