    Join Our Team as a Line Chef at Gold Country Casino Resort!

    Are you an experienced Line Cook ready to step up into a culinary leadership role? The Gold Country Casino Resort (GCCR) Food & Beverage Division is seeking talented Line Chefs to be part of our Award-Winning Team.

    At GCCR, our Food & Beverage Team collaborates daily to deliver the Ultimate Dining Experience in the North State for our Guests and Gamers. As a Line Chef, you will play a crucial role in leading our culinary team towards achieving this excellence, with promising opportunities for long-term growth.

    Essential Job Duties:

    • Assist Sous Chef in maintaining hotline protocols and procedures.
    • Set standards for consistency, timing, and dish execution.
    • Manage Line Cooks' preparedness and stations.
    • Ensure portion control, proper plating, and food quality.
    • Provide training and motivation to the Line Cook Team.
    • Uphold cleanliness and safety compliance.
    • Ensure proper food cooking and holding temperatures.
    • Work on various line stations as needed.
    • Take full responsibility for the quality of served products.
    • Maintain a positive and professional demeanor with team members.
    • Follow and enforce food service health and safety regulations.
    • Participate in team meetings and suggest improvements.
    • Promptly report equipment and food quality issues.
    • Perform other assigned duties.

    Qualifications:

    • Proficient in cooking fundamentals, knives, and various techniques.
    • Familiar with kitchen flow, timing, and safety protocols.
    • Skilled in food handling, storing, and kitchen equipment operation.
    • Ability to lead and work across all line stations.
    • Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.

    Education/Experience: Minimum 3 years of kitchen experience, including food preparation roles. High School Diploma or equivalent required.

    Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents.

    Mathematical Skills: Proficient in basic math operations and computations.

    Reasoning Ability: Capable of applying common sense to instructions and problem-solving.

    Physical Demands: Requires effective communication and ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

    Work Environment: Involves moderate to loud noise levels and may include a smoking environment.

    Please Note: Availability to work weekends and holidays is essential.
