    Contracts Director at Amentum in Boise, Idaho, United States Job Description The Senior Director of Contracts will report to the Vice President of Contracts and lead the Contracts team supporting the Critical Missions operating group at Amentum.

    The Senior Director will provide strategic direction and functional expertise to ensure effective contract management across the organization and maximize value for the company.

    The Senior Director will be responsible for overseeing full-cycle contract administration, including the management of complex contracts performed in various CONUS and OCONUS locations, RFP/RFQ analysis, risk identification and mitigation, proposal preparation review/support, negotiations and issue resolution, post-award contract set-up and administration, close collaboration with Operations and other functional leads, and support for contract closeouts, all in accordance with company policies and procedures, applicable regulations and contractual obligations.


    Essential Responsibilities:

    Responsible for overseeing the full contracts management life cycle of a $5B portfolio of contracts with the federal government, prime contractors, or other customers.

    Oversees contracts administration team and provides guidance relating to maintaining proper contracts documentation and records, supporting proposal review and preparation, negotiating contract awards and modifications, and interfacing with the government and commercial customers.

    Provides training to technical, program and other functional staff on contract terms, FAR compliance, and contractual requirements.

    Supervises the staff to provide adequate training and guidance, coordinate workloads, priorities, and schedules to ensure timely and effective completion of work.

    Monitors and evaluates staff performance.

    Reviews solicitation requirements and works with proposal teams to identify and mitigate any anticipated risks and to ensure compliance with terms and conditions.

    Actively participates in bid strategy discussions and pursuit reviews. Interprets contract terms and conditions to advise internal stakeholders on contractual matters and potential risks. Ensures timely processing and submission of contracts reports and deliverables.

    Serves as a primary interface between Amentum and the Government Contracting Officers and other Customers for complex contractual, operational, or financial management issues and helps to develop and implement timely and actionable solutions.
