- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to engineer the structural design and safety of our prefabricated and modular housing solutions that meet city needs and project requirements
- Utilize your expertise to create structural models by using computer software alongside your knowledge of city principles, building codes, and construction techniques.
- Choose appropriate materials when necessary based on structural specifications needed for each project.
- Conduct three inspections (must be certified to do structural inspections beyond and the state Engineering Certification). Re-inspections as needed.

- Responsible for structural engineering analysis and design of steel, concrete, masonry, light-gage, and wood structures
- Prepare and allocate budgets for structural aspects of projects
- Maintain active awareness of production schedule by reviewing assigned projects for completeness/accuracy for minimum content at key project milestones
- Coordinate structural construction drawings with architectural, civil, and other consultants as required.
- Lead the development of detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and documentation for prefabricated and modular construction projects.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in prefabricated and modular construction to inform design decisions and optimize project outcomes.
- Take ownership and responsibility for the completion of the projects engineering and build to specifications
- Work closely and develop and maintains good rapport with architect, general contractor, subcontractors, city officials and inspectors to ensure quality control and compliance to regulatory standards
- Exhibit skills and behavior that establish and maintain harmonious working relationships between all members of the teams, conducting business in a professional and ethical manner.
- Desire to increase responsibilities and be a team player with leadership qualities when needed to take a project to the finish line.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, showing high level of prioritization
- 3+ years' experience in residential and light commercial for ground up to completion
- 2+ years or 10+ project experience within the Austin, TX area
- Familiar with foundation in Texas with a focus on Austin
- License for engineering in Texas is required
- Structural/Civil/Architectural Engineering degree from an ABET accredited university
- Working knowledge of structural analysis software, and additionally Revit and Cad
- Can effectively communicate necessary project specifications
- Strong ability to read and interpret drawings, prints, schematics, and written project documents
- Experience and knowledge in Austin city building codes, zoning regulations, and construction practices
- Highly developed attention to detail
- High level of computer knowledge and efficiency, including Microsoft office and Google suite
- Work effectively in high pressure, time sensitive situations
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

- Able to operate in a fast-paced working environment with minimal direction from Senior Management

Job DescriptionTurnkey Ventures is currently looking for a Licensed Structural Engineer that will be the company's go to for overseeing the engineering of modular home and new construction projects. The Project Architect is accountable for ensuring the safety and strength of the structures built by Turnkey. This position will be working to implement all structural design and planning project details for modular home projects from beginning to end, including ensuring guidance to construction workers on site. This position pay range is dependent on experience and certifications. The pay range is from $110,000 - $160,000 annual OTE.
