    Description
    Seeking a psychiatrist to join an existing group for the expansion of a new inpatient facility. The state-of-the-art facility will have an eight-bed adolescent unit, 24 bed adult unit and 12 bed geropsychiatry unit.

    The group provides inpatient and outpatient psychiatric services to include both adult, child and adolescent services, a robust consultation liaison service for the hospital, a MAT program and medical education.

    The Department is involved in teaching family practice residents, medical students, nurse practitioners, physician assistants and social work interns. A psychiatric residency program will be initiated once the hospital is built. The psychiatrist will be evaluating and treating a general adult population. Weekday call is currently being handled. Weekend call will be estimated to be 1:8. This will involve rounding on the inpatient units and seeing psychiatry consults in the Medical Center. Conceivably, 1/2-day out of the week could be spent treating this population. New graduates also considered. Practice located on hospital campus Collegial call coverage and support available.     Community/Facility info:
    Largest of the state-owned colleges at about 14,500 undergraduates, is the largest employer in the county. Hospital is second largest employer with about 1400 currently on the payroll.

    The community is well-known for its quality school system that is highly ranked in the state and has been nationally recognized.

    There are a great many activities available for children and adults alike. Outdoor sports include fishing, hunting, golfing, tennis, swimming, boating, hiking, and camping with many different kinds of opportunities.

    The university brings a large variety of cultural events to the community, and these will soon increase with the completion of a new arena within sight of the hospital.
