- Demonstrate basic knowledge and skills in the scrub role to assist during surgical procedures.
- Responsibilities:
- Ensure aseptic technique
- Set up equipment, instrumentation, and sterile supplies for procedures
- Scrub and pass instruments during surgeries
- Prepare operating rooms for daily schedules
- Education:
- Required: Graduate of Surgical Technician Program per state regulations
- Experience:
- Preferred: 1 year as a surgical technician
- Certifications:
- Required: BLS
- Preferred: Surgical Technology Certification

The hospital offers a wide range of specialized services, including Women's Services, Surgical Services, Bariatric Center of Excellence, and Behavioral Health, in addition to the traditional emergency room, critical care, and telemetry services.
Texas regulations dictate that healthcare facilities cannot employ individuals for surgical technology practice unless they obtain certification within 180 days of hire.
