    Paralegal, Enforcement - Dallas, United States - Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, Inc.

    Description
    Provide investigative and legal support to Enforcement.


    Essential Job Functions:

    • Perform legal research for staff attorneys.
    • Assist with preparing exhibits and sharing exhibits for on-the-record testimony.
    • Assist with customer interviews and prepare memorandum.
    • Assist investigators with investigative tasks such as data entry and updating and maintaining the case management system and document files.
    • Review and synopsize transcripts.
    • Assist with review of documents sent to the Office of Disciplinary Affairs.

    Other Responsibilities:

    • Work on special projects as assigned.

    Education/Experience Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree and/or paralegal certificate or significant relevant experience.
    • Strong oral and written communication skills and competence on a desk top computer.
    • Experience in a legal setting preferred.
    • Proficiency in Lexis/Nexis. Proficiency in Excel, Access, iManage and Summation a strong plus.

    Important Information


    FINRA's Code of Conduct imposes restrictions on employees' investments and requires financial disclosures that are uniquely related to our role as a securities regulator.

    FINRA employees are required to disclose to FINRA all brokerage accounts that they maintain, and those in which they control trading or have a financial interest (including any trust account of which they are a trustee or beneficiary and all accounts of a spouse, domestic partner or minor child who lives with the employee) and to authorize their broker-dealers to provide FINRA with duplicate statements for all of those accounts.

    Employees may only maintain securities accounts that must be disclosed to FINRA at one or more securities firms that provide an electronic feed (e-feed) of data to FINRA, and must move securities accounts from other securities firms to a firm that provides an e-feed within three months of beginning employment.
