Rate:
$58/hr Max

Must have -SRE experience
Azure cloud, cloud networking, Azure Kubernetes services
Cloud engineering - ideal to have Palo Alto & Cisco experience
Multi-cloud exp. with Azure & GCP
Migration experience ideal

Cloud Network Engineering

Position Description

Designing and implementing functional network infrastructure on premise and in the cloud
Resolving issues that tiers of support have escalated.

Experience at the infrastructure level that can assist in troubleshooting as well as setup environments for applications and web services to function.

Looking for someone to assist with

creating/implementing/troubleshooting

cloud

networks/infrastructure.

the "magic behind the curtain" where all the communication takes place.

Able to do the cloud implementation, Cloud Infrastructure; building & connecting environments; building out the base so that the application team can do their part.

PCF to AKS migration experience nice to have.


Responsibilities:
Design and deploy functional networks (LAN, WLAN, WAN)
Configure and install software, servers, routers, and other network devices
Monitor network performance and integrity
Resolve issues tiers of support have escalated by troubleshooting cloud and local infrastructure
Automate tasks and monitor their effectiveness
Mentor team members on technical issues
Create, oversee, and test security measures (e.g. access authentication and disaster recovery)
Communicate with users when needed
Maintain complete technical documentation
Suggest improvements to network performance, capacity, and scalability

Requirements:
Industry-related experience
Extensive experience in cloud network engineering (Azure , GCP, OCI, AWS)
Solid background in network administration and architecture
Experience

creating/implementing/troubleshooting

cloud

networks/infrastructure
Experience setup cloud environments for applications and web services to function
Experience building and baselining infrastructure specific objects in cloud environments to build consistent cloud tenants using best practice techniques for multiple cloud providers (Azure , GCP, OCI, AWS)
In-depth understanding of communication protocols and routing protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF)
Familiarity with access control models and network security
Experience with network diagnostic, monitoring and analysis tools (e.g., SolarWinds network tools)
In depth understanding of network operating systems (Cisco IOS, JUNOS, )
Sharp troubleshooting skills
Ability to work independently
Organizational and mentoring skills
Expert understanding of IPSEC and other types of VPN
Experience with Palo Alto
Experience with Fortinet and Cisco ASA/Firepower
Understanding of routers, switches, and firewalls.
Solid troubleshooting skills
Solid Linux OS experience
Strong customer service skills and attention to detail
