    Avnet, Inc. seeks a Business Analyst III for Phoenix, AZ.

    Collects, compiles & analyzes data from various databases & performs statistical analysis for internal customer groups to extract commercially useful business intelligence information.

    Requires a master's degree. in Business Analytics, Data Analytics, or closely related field and two (2) years exp. in a role/role requiring data collection, data manipulation, data presentation, Excel, CRM Salesforce, & PeopleSoft. Qualified applicants submit application online.


    Job Summary:
    Designs and prepares reports, dashboards, and summaries for statistical analysis and planning purposes. Analyzes business issues using data from internal and external sources to provide insight to decision-makers. Identifies and interprets trends and patterns.

    Principal Responsibilities:
    Collects, compiles and analyzes data from various databases and performs statistical analysis for internal customer groups.
    Develops reports and/or creates dashboards providing financial related information needed to make informed business decisions.
    Designs, creates and implements templates to collect, display and analyze data for assigned projects.
    Communicates complex data in comprehensible ways. Evaluates information from multiple sources and clearly indicates quality of final analysis.
    Develops reports and other tools to deliver internal company information enabling business users to make informed decisions.

    Gathers, aggregates models, and analyzes information from multiple external sources regarding company financial performance, customer insights, competitor profiling, competitive threats, potential product or technical expansion, industry trends and other such business intelligence aspects.

    Establishes standards and procedures for a variety of processes, conducting business analysis resulting in detailed creation and maintenance of business process mapping, requirements, and training materials documentation.

    May participate in or lead project teams.
    Identifies, investigates, and participates in opportunities to improve processes and procedures, to include various key performance metrics.
    Other duties as assigned.


    Job Level Specifications:
    Extensive knowledge and application of principles, theories, and concepts. Complete knowledge of all job functions and the broad industry best practices, techniques, and standards.
    Develops solutions to complex problems where analysis of situations and/or data requires in-depth evaluation of variables. Determine best approach to achieve results and provide suggestions to improve policies and procedures.
    Work is performed independently and requires the exercise of judgment and discretion. Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments. Work may be reviewed at a high-level.
    May represent the organization as a primary contact on assignments and/or projects. Interacts with senior professionals and management and frequently coordinates work between departments or organizations.
    Actions may impact the organization. Failure to accomplish work will result in the inability to reach crucial organizational goals. Erroneous decisions may have a prolonged effect resulting in the expenditure of substantial resources.


    Work Experience:
    Master's degree, plus 2 years' experience in systems noted above
