Weekend Shifts, Fri-Sun 4:30 AM - 5:00 PM

Take your career to new heights PDS Tech Commercial Inc is seeking an Operations Trainee to join our dynamic team in Savannah, GA, a leader in elevating careers in the aerospace sector.

This entry-level role is designed to train you in the manufacturing processes of aircraft, offering a unique opportunity to work within a team environment under direct supervision.

Ideal Candidate:
Should have experience in manufacturing, warehouse, or machining environments.
Must be a great problem solver and a self-starter.
Proficient with Microsoft Excel and skilled at data entry.
Interested in an entry-level role in Aerospace composite manufacturing.

Essential Functions:

Perform fitting of detail parts and basic drilling and riveting operations using basic mechanic hand tools (pneumatic drills, rivet gun, countersinks, reamers, and files).

Ensure all parts and work content meet the instructions provided by assigned manufacturing employees or Quality Control Inspectors.
Learn to read work orders, blueprints, and specification sheets to determine the sequence of operations and work requirements.
Align and assemble parts to be riveted using holding fixtures, pins, clamps, and fasteners.
Gradually become familiar with parts and assemblies, increasing independence as experience is gained.

Requirements:
Ability to read a scale and perform basic shop math.
Capable of reading and comprehending basic documents and instructions.

Possesses essential personal skills such as hands-on craftwork aptitude, a professional attitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work well with others and meet demanding schedules.

Demonstrates good housekeeping and adherence to safety practices.
Proficient in using personal computer-based software.
Must be available to work any shift and lift objects up to 40 pounds.

Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or GED required.
Strong mechanical aptitude preferred.
Enrollment in a Technical Aviation program is advantageous.

Essential communication skills needed include the ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language, and listening and computer keyboard skills.

Pay Details:
$19.29 per hour
