    The Director Global Quality Assurance's role is to lead the organization's global Quality

    Assurance group. This leadership role is responsible for promoting quality, best practices, and

    continuous improvement across the corporation. This position will ensure quality and regulatory

    compliance and represents the company to both customers and suppliers for all markets

    (Commercial, Medical, Military/Aerospace) in all quality related matters.

    Responsibilities:

    • Lead and develop the company's Global Quality organization to continuously meet the company's quality objectives.
    • Responsible for oversight and management of multiple quality control departments both in the US and internationally.
    • Provides vision and leadership for the quality organization supporting quality objectives, effective hiring and training of staff, proper inspection tools and equipment, and software and software improvements as it relates to quality data.
    • Lead and enable the quality organization to perform effectively with adequate resources to support long term business growth.
    • Develop and maintain an environment of strong collaboration and partnership with Sales, Purchasing, Operations, Technical Services, and other Senior Management to achieve the company's objectives.
    • Accountable to identify, report and mitigate company product and compliance quality issues, risks, and concerns.
    • Practical understanding of Quality Systems programs (ISO9001, AS9120, ISO14001, etc.).
    • Ensure that effective audits are conducted and that programs are effective and maintained.
    • Senior point of contact for quality matters as it relates to Hardware Specialty's business, representing the company to both customers and suppliers in this regard.
    • Work at a high professional level with global customers and suppliers, with the ability to transition effectively between technical details of any issue and a discussion of business implications.
    • Foster an environment of continuous quality improvement throughout the company.

    Requirements:

    • Firsthand senior management experience with a minimum of 10 years in a quality assurance leadership role in an industrial setting.
    • Thorough knowledge of regulatory requirements such as RoHS, REACH, DFARs, Conflict Minerals, CTPAT, Etc.
    • Experience in managing new supplier onboarding on a global basis.
    • Able to travel internationally for 2 or more weeks at a time as part of a team or independently, interacting directly with company staff, customers, and suppliers.
    • Strong interpersonal skills, a proven team player.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with well-structured communication and presentation ability.
    • English fluency both written and spoken (the company language).
    • Results focused and able to employ excellent negotiating skills using technical expertise, empathy, diplomacy, and common sense.

    Education, Experience, Licenses and Certifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in business or engineering, MBA preferred.
    • Firsthand senior management experience with a minimum of 10 years in a quality assurance leadership role in an industrial setting.
    • Proven work experience as a receptionist or similar role.
