    Job DescriptionThe Inventory Technician distributes supplies to maintain established par levels for nursing units, specialty areas, and designated departments. This position receives and stocks supplies in CSR. This role utilizes handheld computer device for paring of supplies for departments. This position is responsible for ordering and issuing of equipment. This position processes and decontaminates equipment and specialty trays and supplies for distribution.
    ResponsibilitiesUtilizes departmental procedures in distributing and processing supplies and equipment.

    Receives supplies, checks for accuracy of order, documents back orders and follows up with supervisor when discrepancies occur, to assure supplies available for distribution from CSR.

    Maintain established standards for Safety, Infection Control and quality assurance, by rotating supplies, labeling of supplies and monitoring of expiration dates on all supplies.

    Restocks Specialty carts ( code carts, trauma carts, urology carts, ortho cart), accurately, rotating supplies on carts to insure dates of sterile supplies are within current period and all items are available on cart.

    Follows proper procedure for issuing of special equipment, (wound vacs, IV pumps, kpads, bed alarms and accu check machines), specialty beds, and special trays for accurate billing and tracking of equipment.

    Displays initiative and flexibility in performance of daily task / assignments by prioritizing task and exercises sound judgment in the performance of these task.

    Follows proper dress code for decontamination area and demonstrates proper aseptic technique when cleaning equipment, preparing supplies and instruments for sterilization and transporting supplies to SPD for processing.

    Assist in other duties as assigned to support the operational needs of the department and organization. May be required to remain on campus immediately before, during, and after severe weather and/or disasters.
