Florence Corporation, the nations leading manufacturer of specialty postal products and electronic package kiosks, is now hiring an on-site Engineering Intern for our Manhattan, Kansas location.
This is a great opportunity for a Manhattan, Kansas area Engineering Student to broaden their knowledge and skill set in an office and manufacturing environment.
Engineering Interns will be members of the Florence Corporation Engineering Team, reporting to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager.
Successful candidates can work fulltime hours this summer and would stay on through the school year for hours per week.
The number of hours per week and actual working days are flexible, and will be balanced around the academic needs of the student.
The pay rate is \$20.00 per hour for this onsite position in Manhattan, Kansas.What you\'ll do
Time study existing processes to define labor standards
Utilize existing time study data to estimate labor standards for future product
Create process work instructions
Participate in Production floor layout design
Participate in work station layout/design
Implement new processes and the tools and equipment for those process
