    Position Summary:

    Performs and completes radiographic studies as requested to assist physicians in diagnosis of injury or pathology.
    Incorporates knowledge of technical functions to provide optional studies while protecting the patient and self from excessive radiation exposure.
    Administers oral and IV contrast media as needed.

    Essential Functions:

    Performs radiographic procedures in a competent and knowledgeable mannerDrag Edit DeleteAdministers contrast media as required for certain exams with approval of a physicianDrag Edit DeleteAssists physicians in performance of non-typical examinationsDrag Edit DeleteMaintains a safe and orderly environment for self, other personnel and patientsDrag Edit DeleteProvides age appropriate care to all patients.Drag Edit DeleteAssists in the education of students as required

    Reports to: Radiology Supervisor


    Minimum Education
    Graduate of a school of Radiologic Technology RequiredDrag Edit DeleteRequired Skills
    Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.Drag Edit DeleteRequired Skills
    Certifications:
    Basic Life Support (BLS) - to be obtained within 30 days
    Drag Edit DeleteRequired Skills
    Licenses:
    ARRT registered with WV licensure.Drag Edit DeleteRequired Skills
    Ability to lift and move heavy objects and cope with acutely ill patients.
    Must be able to take call on a rotating basis.
