    Reports To: Laboratory Director

    Status: 80 hours per two week pay period

    Shift: Day and evening hours

    Job Schedule: Full time

    Weekly Hours: 40 hours

    Job Summary

    Performs a variety of general and specific clinical laboratory duties including but not limited to the areas of Phlebotomy, Central Specimen Processing/Shipping. Collects routine laboratory specimens by standard venipuncture and skin puncture. Processes specimens and requisitions to appropriate lab section. Distributes and files laboratory reports.

    Requirements
    • High school graduate or equivalent.
    • Clinical laboratory experience preferred.
    • Word and Excel experience preferred.
    Working Conditions:
    • Work involves sitting, standing, stooping, and bending, walking throughout the hospital and between physician's office locations outside the hospital. Work may require moderate lifting (exerting/lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally, up to 20 pounds frequently and 10 pounds constantly).
    • Work requires finger/hand dexterity and eye/hand coordination.
    • Work is in clean, well lighted, climate controlled environment.
    • Works with biological (infectious) and chemical hazardous material.
    • Minimal hazards under normal conditions.
