+Qualifications
- Minimum 1-year previous working experience within the last 36 months (3yrs) as a Psychologist
- Must be proficient in the English language and be able to communicate effectively
- ,Ability to build rapport with clients,bStrong leadership qualities,eExcellent written and verbal communication skills,A valid and current CPR card (American Heart Association),Must have the required licenses, permits, and/or certifications in the state of CA,
+Responsibilities- ,Conducts initial mental health evaluations including criminal, psychological, and substance abuse case history to assess inmate's current needs and make treatment recommendations in the initial evaluation; Conducts clinically sound suicide risk evaluations including clinical review, applying suicide risk assessment protocols pertinent data/chart reviews proper documentation consultations as needed;
,Meets with mentally ill inmates/wards for crisis intervention group psychotherapy face-to-face interviews etc May be required to provide clinical face-to-face interviews at cell fronts in inmate housing units In some institutions multi-tiered housing units may require the ability to climb stairs walk long distances;,Identify relevant signs symptoms psychiatric disorders comprehensively assessing diagnosing managing presenting symptomatology,,Effectively applies psychological assessments selection administration scoring interpretation continuum psychological tests,,Writes clinical reports diagnoses prognoses develops treatment plans reflects standard practice; Consults complex cases supervisor treatment team members CDCR institutional healthcare personnel divisions department Documents all care provided inmate face-to-face contacts Interdisciplinary Treatment Team IOTT meetings Monitors inmate progress Subjective Assessment Plan Evaluation SOAPE FORMATTED PROGRESS NOTES Effectively applies community standard practice selection implementation psychological treatment modalities maintains ethical standards Performs mental status exam MSE face-to-face interviews Examines prior mental health records institutional chromos probation reports court records available documents assist formulation patient diagnosis aid development inmate treatment plans Establishes collaborative ties community programs groups agencies board care homes develop supportive community relationships assigned approved supervisor Conducts mental health education develops additional resources mentally ill sex offender inmates wards Assist patient-inmates youths applying entitlement benefits SSI community programs services Participates IDTT meetings Compiles analyzes data audits pertaining mental health program requirements Provides written reports consult Board Prison Hearing CDCR staff Provide relatives caregivers information patients person phone correspondence receiving signed release individual Develop therapeutic relationship patient-inmates youths families caretakers assigned approved supervisor enhance effective delivery Represents department formal informal settings regarding matters Maintains order supervises conduct persons committed correctional facility prevent escapes injury prevents others;
