    Description
    The Carefree Quality Manager is responsible for developing and implementing the Quality Management System (
    QMS). The Quality Manager oversees supervising the product realization process to ensure all products meet or exceed established standards. Duties include developing and implementing quality control processes for external vendor requirements, incoming inspection, in-process inspection, and final inspection.
    This role requires creating a positive work environment that supports continuous improvement across all functions within a diverse workforce. The position reports to the VP of Engineering.

    The essential duties of the Quality Manager position include, but are not limited to

    :


    QMS
    Ensuring that the Carefree Quality Management System conforms to customer, internal, and regulatory/legal requirements.
    Adhering to safety, health and environmental policies and procedures for the facility.
    Initiating methods to inspect, test, and evaluate products and production equipment to quality goals set by the leadership team.

    Developing record management process to evaluate quality processes throughout the manufacturing process compared to warranty analysis of issues experienced by customers.

    Maintaining and monitoring corrective and preventative action processes including those incurred from audit findings, product nonconformance, and supplier nonconformance.
    Verifying raw materials, purchased parts or components, in-process samples, and finished products meet established testing and inspection standards.
    Responsible for accuracy and timely

    inspection/calibration

    of monitoring and measuring devices.

    Customers
    Working with customers and sales organization to develop product requirements.
    Reviewing product returns, implementing corrective actions, and communicating to customers regarding status.
    Representing the Quality function in Customer meetings remote or in person
    Managing issue resolution to root cause using various methodologies such as 5 whys, DFMEA

    Management
    Implementing measurements and driving improvements in Cost of Quality for the business (Warranty, Scrap, Product Returns). This includes tracking waste and reviewing scrap rates of incoming and production processes and establishing triggers to investigate.

    Reporting to the leadership team on the performance of the
    QMS (e.g., results of quality audits, corrective actions), including the need for improvement via periodic management review meetings.

    Overseeing workers:

    including inspectors, and process auditors.

    Working with manufacturing engineering department, evaluating manufacturing processes by designing and conducting research programs; applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials; conferring with equipment vendors; soliciting observations from operators; all to achieve company Quality goals.

    Qualifications include but are not limited to:

    A bachelor's degree in Engineering is required, as is 5 years of experience in Quality Assurance/Quality Control. Current CQM or similar certification is desired.
    Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work well with people at all levels are essential. Must have strong organizational, analytical, problem solving, and management skills.
    Candidate must have ability to effectively handle multiple tight timeline situations.
    Ability to work with minimal supervision and possess a willingness to make autonomous decisions.
    Six Sigma Lean Green Belt certification highly desired.
    Ability to create and drive change and effectively communicate throughout the organization.
    Ability to achieve goals through influencing others.
    Must be self-motivated with the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
    Ability to analyze data from various systems to get to opportunity/root cause.
    Competent in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access & MS Project.
    Works with integrity and respect displaying a high degree of tact and diplomacy.
    Must be familiar with various measuring devices and analyzing information.
    Good understanding of HR and Financial acumen is highly desired.
    Willingness to travel up to 20% (short-term needs could dictate more at times).

    Compensation and Benefits
    The salary range for this position is anticipated to be from $ $ biweekly.
