    Registered Nurse (RN) – Telemetry – Charge RN, Full-time, Days

    We're looking for a qualified Registered Nurse like you to join our department in a Charge Nurse role

    Work location: Texas Health Southwest, 6100 Harris Parkway, Fort Worth, TX 76132

    Work hours: Full-time, Days

    Department Highlights

    • 28 bed Telemetry Department provides telemetry and Med/Surg level of care for the general medical/surgical, endocrine GI/renal patient population ages Adult to Geriatric
    • 4/5:1 patient to nurse ratio on days and 5/6:1 on nights working 12-hour shifts
    • MAGNET facility
    • Level III Trauma Center

    Here's what you need

    • Nursing Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred
    • Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing upon hire
    • BCLS – prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required
    • ACLS – within 90 days of hire required
    • CPI – Crisis Prevention Intervention Training – within 60 days of hire
    • 1-year experience as a clinical nurse in an acute care setting required
    • 2-years' experience as a clinical nurse in an acute care setting preferred
    • Current Tele experience strongly preferred

    In addition to the required qualifications, a successful RN will

    • Demonstrate a high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a fast-paced environment.
    • maintain a positive, customer-focused attitude toward patients
    • possess a strong work ethic and always display a high level of professionalism
    • have basic computer skills using medical management application systems

    The Charge Nurse

    • will communicate and collaborate with all members of the health care team
    • support and actively participate in shared governance/councils
    • committed to developing their individual knowledge and skills, as well as advancing the profession of nursing and engaging in lifelong learning/development.
    • evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
    • directly assists leadership on a particular unit or units and shift, by offering staff guidance and support, maintaining a clean and safe work environment and ensuring unit operational tasks are completed.
