    Required to float to other MedSurg Oncology units as needed

    Job Requirements (Registered Nurse / Travel RN)


    Experience:
    Minimum 2 years of RN experience (recent experience required; at least 1 year current specialty experience for clinical pass)


    License:
    Active RN license (compact or Ohio RN license in hand at submission)


    Certifications:
    BCLS / BCLS (AHA) as applicable


    EMR/Charting:
    Epic experience required


    Telemetry Skills:
    Telemetry monitoring; dysrhythmia interpretation and management


    Clinical Skills (required):
    IV starts; central line/PICC management; blood product administration; arterial line management; ABG interpretation; port access; HFNC; assist with chest tube insertion/removal (as needed)


    Preferred:
    Oncology experience (preferred, not required); prior travel nursing experience


    References:
    Two professional references (at least one from a manager/director or formal leader)

    Responsibilities (Med/Surg Telemetry RN – Nights)

    Provide safe, evidence-based nursing care for Med/Surg Oncology/Telemetry patients requiring continuous cardiac monitoring, including patients receiving chemotherapy-related observation

    Interpret telemetry rhythms, recognize dysrhythmias, and escalate changes in patient condition promptly using established protocols

    Administer medications and blood products per policy; manage IV therapy, infusion pumps, and related devices

    Perform and maintain central line/PICC care, port access, and arterial line monitoring as indicated

    Support symptom management, comorbidity management, and patient/family education throughout the plan of care

    Maintain strong infection prevention and fall prevention practices for an adult/geriatric population

    Document accurately in Epic and collaborate with interdisciplinary partners

    Float to other MedSurg Oncology units as needed to support staffing and patient care priorities
