    The Financial Reporting Manager will be directly responsible for preparing Danaher Corporation's Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) filings, including Forms 10-K, 10-Q and 8-K.

    The position will coordinate the financial reporting process from the initial drafting of the documents through to filing, working closely with the Director of SEC Reporting, Chief Accounting Officer, and the Corporate Finance team.

    The Financial Reporting Manager will interact with senior leadership in Finance, Investor Relations, Legal and the operating companies to communicate the performance of Danaher Corporation in our external reporting.

    This position is part of the Finance and Accounting Department and will be hybrid located in Washington, DC.

    Lead the preparation and filing of quarterly and annual reports (10-Q, 10-K and 8-K), including financial statements, footnotes, and Management's Discussion and Analysis (MD&A).

    Work closely with internal stakeholders, including the Accounting, Legal, Investor Relations and Finance teams, to gather necessary information, ensure timely and accurate reporting, and manage the internal review process to ensure deadlines are met.


    • Assist in the adoption of new accounting standards, conduct research for new or changing accounting or SEC disclosure requirements and participate in other projects and initiatives.
    • Review financial performance of the operating companies and communicate the financial results in external quarterly SEC filings as well as in internal reporting to senior leadership.
    • Coordinate with the external auditors for the quarterly reviews and annual audit, partnering with the auditors to ensure signoff on accounting transactions, review of new disclosures, and timely completion of the audit/review activities.
    • A Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting or related fields with 7 years of directly related experience OR Master's degree with 5 years experience OR Doctoral with 3 years experience.
    • Experience with a Big 4 accounting firm
    • Indepth knowledge of US GAAP and SEC rules and regulations and proficiency in researching technical accounting matters and preparing disclosures for new accounting pronouncements and business transactions.
    • Advanced skills in MS Excel
