    Quality Assurance Engineer/Analyst 4

    Multi-Year Project

    Our Government client is seeking a Test Automation Engineer to join the Orion Program supporting several Project Initiatives to streamline/modernize/improve the customer and internal user experience for the State's Online Business Licensing Management services.

    The selected candidate will lead Test engineers in drafting of Test Plans, development of test cases and scripts, proposal of design for a test infrastructure, proposal of testing and automated testing procedures.


    Provide Quality Assurance Engineering skills:
    The Quality Assurance Engineer writes Test Plans, Test Cases, Test Sets and Schedule Test Executions
    Writing Test cases
    Training test engineers, Q/A Techs and Acceptance Testers from business units.
    Strong knowledge of Ranorex, Rapise, QTP (UFT), Selenium or similar Automation Solutions
    Practical knowledge of Source Control and experience working with GIT, GITHub, Source Tree, TortoiseGit or similar tools.
    Configuration and implementation of Automated Test products
    Good understanding of RDBMS (Oracle and SQL Server) with large, complex data sets

    Provide expertise to manage a Quality Assurance Manual and Automation Test Suites and the QA Process for the Orion portfolio.

    Collaborate with Business and Technical teams to ensure the Quality Assurance process successfully supports the deployment of fully tested code to our environment within the accepted parameters defined by the SOSTek team.

    Ensure technical and customer requirements for assigned projects are achieved
    Strong acumen for reading technical documents / requirements and being able to translate that to the product.
    Demonstrated experience implementing, configuring and managing automated testing tools successfully.
    Proven industry experience using Agile Software Development practices (Continuous Integration, Continuous Deployment...)
    Provide training on the Automated Testing Tools/Services for the technical and business teams that will use them.
    Programming experience in C#, VBScript, Python, JavaScript is a big plus
    Lead automation script development and optimization of those scripts.
    Collect and report quality metrics from test executions.
    Develop, execute and lead (in collaboration with QA Manager) the Automation planning, Scripting, and maintenance strategy.

    Experience measuring performance and performing load tests and strong understanding of how to interpret the results and determine root cause for issues identified.

    Support engineering, development, release management and customer support organizations in troubleshooting and/or addressing issues with applications and environments.
    Experience writing technical documents describing any technical deficiencies.

    Qualifications BS in Computer Science or related field with 5 or more years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
    Communicates clearly in English, both verbally and in writing, with project team members and stakeholders
    Demonstrated ability to plan, organize and deliver QA testing in-line with our Release management cycle.
    Knowledge of Risk Management and Risk Analysis process.
    Thorough understanding of the Quality Assurance processes and methodologies in a software development environment.

    Ability to resolve problems with minimal management assistance; Experience with Continuous Integration (CI) tools, such as Jenkins, to create and maintain automation and manual testing infrastructure.

    Strong comprehension of automated testing implementation and strategies.
    Experience testing all layers of a web application, including front-end, service layer, and back-end connection testing.

    This is a full-time position located in Carson City, Nevada.
