This Opportunity
The Patient Education team within Commercial IT Solutions is seeking a summer intern to join us to work on commercial life sciences, technology-enabled initiatives. In this role, you will gain invaluable industry and organizational knowledge through daily interactions and assignments, in addition to engaging in projects that directly affect our business and help improve patient outcomes.
What You'll Do
• Learn about software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies and related processes
• Learn about the portfolio project management process
• Participate in planning, discovery, designing and delivering technical and functional solution designs that meet client needs and align with Syneos Health's technology vision and initiatives
• Collaboratively work with subject matter experts representing different client projects providing research, analysis and recommendations of technical approaches for solving development and integration projects
• Assist with the creation of project requirements documentation, test plans / scripts and participate in user acceptance testing (in Salesforce Service Cloud and other platforms), as necessary
• Gain exposure to the development process by opening JIRA tickets, attending development SCRUM calls and assist in managing development work
• Gain exposure to how technology connects to business analytics and data driven insights drive strategy
• Learn current application technology and business capabilities across different Commercial lines of business
Your Skills & Expertise
Current pursuit of a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or related
Past technology internship experience or project work preferred
Microsoft software skills (Excel, Word, Powerpoint, etc.) preferred
Knowledge or understanding of the Pharmaceutical Industry is a plus
The hourly rate for this position ranges from $20 to $23. The range represents the anticipated low and high of the Syneos Health range for this position. Actual salary will vary based on various factors such as the candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role.
