    Description
    Summary: Staff designated at Dickinson Wright PLLC ("the Firm") as a Cash Receipts Coordinator are responsible for providing professional support services to Attorneys and Clients of the Firm as assigned on a full time basis unless otherwise arranged with the Firm. Such services frequently include providing accounting support to Attorneys and Clients.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    Essential duties and responsibilities of staff designated as a Cash Receipts Coordinator at the Firm include but are not limited to:

    1. Monitor multiple general and trust bank accounts including accounts located in foreign countries and funded with foreign currencies;
    2. Assist with daily deposit preparation, recording and balancing of client payments in the firm's core accounting system, including research and internal communication relative to payment discrepancies;
    3. Process recurring and ad-hoc client credit card payments in accordance with established firm and payment card industry recordkeeping standards;
    4. Organize all payments from daily mail, cross check with the core accounting system for accuracy, and prepare for posting;
    5. Scan and upload copies of payments into our core accounting system as required for documentation support;
    6. Daily correspondence with legal secretaries, attorneys, and accounts receivable coordinators in a diplomatic manner to resolve inquiries within expected turnaround times;
    7. Provide support and answers for all internal and external payment inquiries related to general and trust payments;
    8. Perform other tasks and projects as assigned by the Cash Application Manager and/or the Director of Accounting Operations.
    Qualifications, Skills and Abilities Required:

    Cash Receipts Coordinators must have:
    1. Associates degree in Accounting, preferred;
    2. 3-5 years of related experience in a professional services setting;
    3. Strong written and verbal communication skills with a proven ability to consistently display professionalism in tone and spirit;
    4. Demonstrated technical proficiency with business and accounting software applications (ex: Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook, Adobe, Chrome River, Elite 3E);
    5. Ability to work independently and as a member of a team in fast paced environment to meet established deadlines;
    6. Assume responsibility and takes ownership of work;
    7. Attention to detail, while understanding the big picture;
    8. Problem solving skills/ability to transfer technical knowledge from one assignment to the next;
    9. Strong organizational skills.
    10. Ability to focus on accuracy, reliability and procedures while providing quick resolutions;
    11. Demonstrates prompt and regular attendance;
    Working Conditions:

    Normal law office environment with little exposure to noise, dust, temperature.
