Prepares detailed quantity surveys and conceptual cost estimates from the early conceptual phase through Construction Documents, including preparing variance summaries between estimates.

Has key knowledge and understanding of unit costs and the factors which affect them.
Understands the subcontracting process, prepares detailed bid package estimates per trade, and can develop written bid packages.
Prepares and leads budget discussions with Owner and Design teams.
Provides value engineering suggestions and constructability reviews throughout the process.


QUALIFICATIONS:
Must have MEP experience.
Bachelors degree within the construction field.3+ years of experience as a Commercial estimator.
Excellent listening and communication skills.

Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite, Estimating software (Timberline or similar), and Scheduling software (Primavera or similar).Careful attention to detail and resourcefulness in acquiring project specific information necessary to develop the estimate detail.

Demonstrates a strong work ethic.
Able to work independently and as part of a team.
Demonstrates ability to effectively manage multiple tasks under differing deadlines.
Able to work flexible hours as needed or required by project or proposal deadlines.#J-18808-Ljbffr
