- Adhere to KCARC's quality policy of striving to continuously improve delivery of all services and products to customers meeting or exceeding requirements.
- Promote the mission and values of KCARC through personal example, providing educational opportunities, communicating with honesty, inviting input and expecting mutual accountability.
- Coordinate all medical appointments, including completing and filing new patient paperwork for individuals served in SGL and waiver homes. Assist in transporting participants to appointments as needed. Ensure necessary paperwork accompanies each participant to each appointment.
- Print MAR monthly and when there are medication changes and disperse appropriately to be placed in MAR books.
- Contact guardians with any updates and appointment-related information including, approval before new medications are given.
- Scan and archive flow records, seizure reports, side effect tracking forms, vital records and medical miscellaneous into electronic file.
- Update and archive all medical paperwork to keep files current.
- Maintain professionalism and confidentiality at all times, as well as a positive attitude within the work environment.
- All other duties as deemed necessary.
- Additional hours if needed are mandatory
- Maintain reliable transportation available for use during working hours, valid driver's license and provide proof of automobile liability coverage.
- Possess an excellent driving record.
- Ability to obtain and maintain KCARC authorization to drive agency vehicles.
- Maintain flexible schedule to meet the demands of the department.
- Maintain the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Maintain the ability to use tact and empathy when dealing with people of varied backgrounds.
- Maintain the ability to establish effective working relationships.
- Maintain the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Be proficient in Windows and Microsoft Office products (Computer literate).
- Accept responsibility and demonstrate leadership.
