    Summary



    This position is in the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Management Directorate, Federal Protective Service (FPS). The FPS mission is to prevent, protect, respond to and recover from terrorism, criminal acts, and other hazards threatening the U.S. Government's critical infrastructure, services, and the people who provide or receive them.

    Non-BU: This is a non-bargaining unit position.



    Duties


    This position is located in the Department of Homeland Security, Federal Protection Service (FPS), Knoxville, TN; San Diego, CA; Birmingham, AL; San Antonio, TX; San Francisco, CA; Honolulu, HI.

    The primary purpose of this position is to serve as an advisor to the District Director in the areas of law enforcement personnel involved in compliance, enforcement, investigations and inspections activities.

    Duties performed:

    • Monitors the effectiveness of assigned personnel in the delivery of service.
    • Implements necessary program changes to meet the agency's objective.
    • Performs supervisory and contract management functions to include planning work to be accomplished by subordinates.
    • Supervises a group of subordinate law enforcement to ensure their engagement in compliance.
    • Provide recommendations to management regarding elimination of practices in an effort to improve customer relations practices.
    • Conducts compliance investigation of agency mission essential risk mitigation programs to determine the resolution of problems.
    • Protects the civil right of all people on property under the charge or control of the U.S Government.
