Position Summary:
EYA, an award-winning, residential real estate developer, is seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk in Bethesda, MD. This is an opportunity to perform varied accounts payable responsibilities such as processing invoices and internal billings, researching and responding to vendor inquiries, and performing other duties and processes to support the Accounting Department. This opportunity provides development and unique experiences in real estate accounting. The ideal candidate must be self-starter with general accounting knowledge who is detail oriented, tech savvy, and a good communicator with experience in accounts payable.

Responsibilities and Duties
- Works with banking institutions to deposit checks, upload ACH files, and downloading bank statements
- Creates and maintains 1099 vendor files for accuracy and manage annual 1099 process for vendors.
- Processes invoices to include reviewing, printing and uploading payment instruments and registers
- Responds to vendor inquires and related communications.
- Verifies and investigate discrepancies by reconciling vendor accounts and monthly statements
- Calculates and reports sales tax requirements on paid invoices.
- Identifies and implements efficiencies in the accounts payable workflow
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree required, accounting, finance, or related field preferred.
- Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounts payable principles.
- Strong computer skills, including Excel and ability to navigate within an accounting software system efficiently
- Understanding of compliance requirements related to accounts payable (W-9, sales tax, etc.)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- High energy level and positive work ethic.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.
This is a full-time role working 4/5 days from our corporate office in Bethesda, Maryland.
The anticipated annual salary range for this position is $55,000 - $75,000, including applicable bonuses. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and other relevant factors.
