    We are hiring for a 2 year engagemant for a contract admin or manager with Federal Grant exp.

    Position Overview:

    The Federal Grants Procurement Specialist will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with federal regulations and guidelines pertaining to grants management within our state level municipality. This position requires an in-depth understanding of federal grant regulations, policies, and procedures, as well as the ability to navigate complex procurement processes to maximize grant funding opportunities while maintaining adherence to federal compliance requirements.

    Key Responsibilities:

    1. Grant Procurement Management:
    2. Identify, evaluate, and pursue federal grant opportunities relevant to the municipality's goals and objectives.
      • Develop and implement strategies for efficient and effective grant procurement processes.
      • Collaborate with departmental stakeholders to understand grant requirements and objectives.
      • Prepare grant proposals, applications, and supporting documentation in accordance with federal guidelines and deadlines.
      • Monitor grant award announcements, modifications, and compliance updates.
    3. Compliance Assurance:
    4. Ensure all grant-funded projects adhere to federal regulations, policies, and guidelines throughout the procurement lifecycle.
      • Conduct regular audits and assessments to verify compliance with federal grant requirements.
      • Provide guidance and support to project teams to address compliance issues and mitigate risks.
      • Keep abreast of changes in federal grant regulations and communicate implications to relevant stakeholders.
      • Prepare and submit required reports and documentation to federal agencies in compliance with grant terms.
    5. Contract Management:
    6. Collaborate with legal and procurement teams to develop, review, and negotiate contracts related to federal grant-funded projects.
      • Ensure contracts align with federal regulations, grant terms, and municipal policies.
      • Monitor contract performance and compliance, including subcontractor agreements and deliverables.
      • Facilitate communication between contractors, vendors, and project teams to resolve issues and maintain project momentum.
    7. Training and Support:
    8. Develop and deliver training sessions, workshops, and resources to educate municipal staff on federal grant compliance requirements and best practices.
      • Serve as a subject matter expert on federal grants compliance, providing guidance and support to internal stakeholders as needed.
      • Foster a culture of compliance awareness and accountability throughout the organization.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Finance, or related field required; Master's degree preferred.
    • Minimum of 3 years of experience in procurement, grants management, or related field, with a focus on federal grants compliance.
    • Demonstrated knowledge of federal grant regulations, including but not limited to Uniform Guidance (2 CFR 200), Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), and other applicable laws and regulations.
    • Proven track record of successfully securing and managing federal grants in a government or non-profit environment.
    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex regulations and policies.
    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
    • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and compliance.
    • Proficiency in grant management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
