University Health Physicians (UHP) serves as the physician group for the University of Missouri - Kansas City School of Medicine (UMKC) and its main teaching hospital. Job Description:
University Health Physicians and University Health is currently looking for a full-time Psychiatrist to join our medical staff and provide psychiatric services in a hospital setting.
In this role, you will lead a multi-disciplinary team, including psychiatry residents, medical students, and medical social workers. Responsibilities also include providing coverage at adult inpatient psychiatric hospitals and participating in hospital-based committees and lectures to other medical specialties.
The ideal candidate should have graduated from an accredited medical school, completed a psychiatry residency (experience in psychosomatic medicine preferred but not required).
Other duties will include:
Leading a team that comprises psychiatry residents, medical students, psychologists, nurses, recreational therapists, and medical social workers.
