You consider your patients' whole well-being before making an analysis, understanding that each patient has a unique set of problems.
Your patient-focused approach, their quality of life, mobility, and overall health are of the utmost importance to you.In this dynamic and richly gratifying role, treating the illnesses and complications affecting the aging process, you'll provide high-quality, patient-centered care and wise counsel to the elderly and their families to improve outcomes.
Provide diagnosis, treatment and patient/family education that enable a better quality of lifeUse evidence-based guidelines to plan and deliver patient care and treatment
Refer patients to specialists for consultative services; discuss end-of-life care with patients and families
Monitor compliance with Infection Control and Safety and HIPAA standards
Participate in in-service education and attend continuing medical (CME) programs/meetings
Assist with teaching, evaluating and mentoring residents in the Family Medicine Residency Program
Supervise residents and medical students and accurately document all supervision and oversight activities
MD or DO degree with at least 2 years of post-residency medical/clinical experience
BC/BE in Geriatric Medicine; ACLS and BCLS training
Participated in direct education of residents during didactic sessions and by providing direct patient care
Familiarity with the competency-based curriculum for residency training
Most significantly, a mindset oriented to returning patients to high functionality and quality of life
