    The Northrop Grumman Mission Systems Field Engineering team based in Buffalo, NY is seeking an RF Software Integration and Test Engineer to support our Next Generation RF Environment Generator (NEWEG) Simulator at our Pt.

    Mugu, California location .

    We are looking for a highly motivated candidate that enjoys learning and solving problems. You will have the opportunity to work on complex electronic warfare simulators alongside a multi-disciplinary team. We are looking for an individual that is passionate, driven, a self-starter, and goal oriented.

    The person selected for this position will be required to undergo training at the Northrop Grumman facility in Buffalo, NY for up to a month prior to working in Pt.

    Mugu, CA.

    What You'll get to Do:
    Be part of Northrop Grumman's dynamic Field Engineering team in Buffalo, NY.

    Candidate must be a highly motivated self-starter who demonstrates the ability to manipulate bench software to diagnose hardware issues, write scripts to automate tasks, utilize python scripts to build threat emitter files.

    You will also debug software issues that arise with respect to the python scripts.

    Roles & Responsibilities:
    Interact independently with customers and coordinate engineering efforts within the company to identify solutions to customer reported problems.
    Provide Engineering support to resolve system level problems reported by the customer on delivered hardware.
    Maintain operational status and configuration of Electronic Warfare Stimulators.
    Utilize knowledge, special test equipment (STE), and instrumented data to troubleshoot/repair hardware failures
    Support customer missions, monitor and convey stimulator performance and assist with generating new emitters.
    Generate weekly status reports documenting test events and anomalies warranting further investigation.

    This requisition may be filled at a higher grade based on qualifications listed below:
    Basic Qualifications for a RF Software Integration and
    Test Engineer:

    2 years of Engineering experience with a Bachelor's of Science Degree
    Active DoD Secret clearance
    Experienced in Back End debugging of Python scripts (or C++ coding experience will be considered)

    Basic Qualifications for a Principal RF Software Integration and Test Engineer are:

    5 years of Engineering experience with a Bachelor's of Science Degree; 3 years of experience with Masters
    Active DoD Secret clearance
    Experienced in Back End debugging of Python scripts (or C++ coding experience will be considered)

    Basic Qualifications for a Senior Principal RF Software Integration and Test Engineer are:

    9 years of Engineering experience with a Bachelor's of Science Degree; 7 years of experience with Masters
    Active DoD Secret clearance
    Experienced in Back End debugging of Python scripts (or C++ coding experience will be considered)


    Preferred Qualifications:
    Back End Python debugging Subject Matter Expert (SME)
    Enlisted military (EW or Intel) getting out and getting their Software Degree
    Experience with other systems like AMES, A2PATS, CEESIM a plus
    Knowledge of RADARs w/ SIGINT and ELINT
    Familiar with programming Electronic Warfare (EW) threats utilizing the Electronic Warfare Integrated Reprogramming Database (EWIRDB)
    Ability to navigate Linux from the command line
    Basic Web and XML understanding
    Familiar with Wireshark
    Basic internet protocol (IP) understanding
    Electronics background that includes experience testing, troubleshooting, and performing repairs.
    Fluent in RF / Electrical test equipment, Spectrum Analyzer, Power Meter, Oscilloscope and Digital Multi-Meters.
