    Electrical Project Engineer of Electronics

    is responsible for

    developing electronic circuit designs of moderately broad scope – analog, digital and microcontroller-based.

    Participating in electronics hardware design peer reviews and

    participating in development of low-level controller software.
    Specific Responsibilities

    Develop, test and document analog, digital, RF and mixed signal electronic circuit designs - this includes the use of modeling and simulation techniques using PSpice and vendor-supplied simulation tools.

    Integrate previous circuit designs with new designs in new controller projects
    Use and develop electronic design best practices including risk assessment, design for environment and design for manufacture
    Work in a cross-functional team environment to develop low-level microcontroller and microprocessor software (board support)
    Use standard electronics laboratory tools including oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, DMM to analyze, debug and document proper operation of electronic circuits and systems
    Work in a cross-functional team environment to develop and document electronic circuit and electronic control system requirements and specifications
    Work closely and effectively with associates from the following functional areas: marketing, purchasing, third-party certification, quality and manufacturing
    Develop and track product development schedules for assigned projects
    Meet with vendors and customers to discuss, document and solve technical issues
    Estimate product development costs and end product costs
    Skills/Requirements

    EDUCATION:
    B.S. in Electrical Engineering from ABET accredited program
    B.S. in Electrical Engineering and 2 years of related work experience; or
    B.S. in Electrical Engineering and Electrical Engineering

    EXPERIENCE:
    Knowledge of any of the following a plus: Matlab, PSPICE, Simulink, Orcad, Verilog, VHDL, C, C++, Python, Assembly Language

    Traits of the ideal candidate:
    Excellent abstract reasoning and problem-solving skills, with capability of documenting problem solving process and data used to make decisions
    Experience developing C or C++ software for embedded systems with real time operating systems
    A working knowledge of microcontroller, microprocessor, memory, ADC and communications hardware technologies
    Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.
    Thesalary range for this position is $83,300 - $105,200.

    The specific salaryoffered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors includingthe candidate's experience, their education, and the work location.
