Who You Are:
We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join our NYC-based custody technology team to build and support the tools that manage fiat and crypto assets on our new, state of the art prime brokerage platform for institutions

What Youll Do:
Design and architect large new features and services on a cloud native platform to increase automation and ensure the integrity and security of our custody systemsEnhance and continue to build out our internal + external facing transaction and inventory management systemWork cross-functionally with other backend teams supporting trading, lending, and settlement operations, as well as frontend UI/UX teams and dev-ops/infrastructure teams
What Were Looking For:7+ years of professional software development experienceSolid computer science fundamentalsProven track record in software design and developmentExpert software engineering skills in Java, Scala, Kotlin, C#, or similar (note that we primarily work in Java)

In-depth knowledge of object-oriented programming fundamentalsStrong communication skills, keen attention to detail, readiness to challenge assumptions, and passion for building and owning quality softwareFamiliar with the full development lifecycle of a commercial system, including requirements definition, agile planning, production deployment, and production supportBonus Points:
Kafka/RabbitMQ/similar messaging system experienceKubernetes/Docker/containerization tech experienceAWS/Azure/GCP experienceExperience working in finance or fintechTechnical understanding of crypto and digital assetsFamiliarity with asynchronous and reactive softwareFamiliarity with domain driven design and event-driven architecturesExperience with reactive frameworks/toolkits like VertxUnderstanding of the Java threading model and concurrency-related concepts
