Reports to:
Human Resources Director
The HR Manager executes HR operational strategies, policies, and programs for the organization. In this role you will provide day-to-day leadership to the team consisting of HR Business Partners and HR Generalist.
You will oversee and manage the day-to-day functions of recruiting, employee relations, benefits administration, training, and compliance to enable an exceptional employee experience.
Highlighted ResponsibilitiesManage new hire onboarding, orientation, and employee paperwork/documentation.
Coordinate and implement employee training, development, and engagement initiatives.
Provide guidance to employees/managers on HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
Investigate and respond to employee relations matters such as performance management, Union grievances, and disciplinary actions.
Maintain HRIS records and report on HR data/metrics as needed.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
Assist with benefits administration, open enrollment, and claims resolution.
Partner with HR Director on special projects, policy development and process improvements
Oversee full-cycle recruitment process including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and hiring.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in HR, Business or related field required; or equivalent relevant HR experience.
5+ years of progressive HR experience
Experience in an environment supporting unionized employees is preferred
Strong knowledge of recruitment, employee relations, benefits, and HR compliance
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships at all levels
Ability to navigate federal, state and local employment regulations
Proficiency with HRIS, MS Office and data management
Detail-oriented with solid organizational and time management abilities
