- Overall Leadership: Lead a focused faculty development and evaluation plan across the college.
- Supervision and Mentoring: Supervise, coach, and mentor personnel while ensuring adherence to HR policies and employment laws.
- Communication: Maintain effective internal and external communication processes for stakeholders.
- Strategic Planning: Provide leadership in long-term planning with measurable goals for faculty development operations.
- Innovation: Research and evaluate emerging practices to benefit our operations and plans.
- Budget Management: Lead financial planning and budget management for faculty development activities.
- Committee Leadership: Chair the Shared Governance Faculty Development and Evaluation Committee.
- Liaison: Serve as a link between the college and vendors providing services for the department.
- Skills Required: Strong organizational, planning, and communication skills, along with budget and talent management abilities.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience in higher education, with a preference for experience in a community college setting.
- Education: A Master's degree in a related field is required, while a Doctorate is preferred.
- Physical Requirements: Standard office environment with occasional standing, walking, and lifting.
- Safety: Promote workplace safety and provide resources for safe unit operation.
