Chef de Cuisine – Luxury Hotel

Location: Washington, D.C.

Reports to: Executive Chef

Salary: $100,000 - $120,000 + Relocation Assistance

A prestigious luxury hotel in Washington, D.C. is seeking an experienced Chef de Cuisine to lead its all-day dining and specialty restaurant operations. This role is ideal for a creative, hands-on culinary leader ready to drive innovation and excellence in a high-profile setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee kitchen operations and lead a team of sous chefs and culinary staff
• Develop and execute seasonal, trend-forward menus
• Manage food and labor costs, inventory, and vendor relations
• Ensure kitchen safety, cleanliness, and maintenance standards
• Collaborate with the front-of-house team to ensure smooth service

Qualifications:

• 5+ years as a Sous Chef or Chef de Cuisine in luxury hotels or fine dining
• Culinary degree or equivalent experience
• Strong leadership and team development skills
• Experience with scheduling, payroll, and cost controls
• Flexible schedule (nights, weekends, holidays)
• Fluent in English; Spanish a plus
• Pre-opening experience preferred
